I am a photographer with experience in photojournalism, portraiture, commercial, and fine art. I find balance in my work by working between various genres of photography.
Born and raised in Yarmouth, Maine, I have an innate love and appreciation for the outdoors and the beauty of New England. My love for nature and travel has brought me to Italy and Kenya to explore unfamiliar cultures, wildlife, and landscapes. However, I equally enjoy capturing the simple beauties of the world and telling the stories of those around me.
My passion for photography clicked instantly when I took my first class in high school. From then on, I dedicated myself to becoming a better photographer and pursuing this craft as a career. After honing my basic skills, I sought out Endicott College's Photography B.S. degree, which allowed me to become well-versed in photography, business, and communications.
At Endicott, I had three highly influential internships that prepared me for my career in photography. In 2022, I worked as the staff photographer and videographer for the Janet Mills for Maine gubernatorial re-election campaign. On the campaign trail, I learned about the ins and outs of political campaigns and became proficient in shooting public and private events.
My second internship with the Kennebec Journal gave me valuable experience as a photojournalist and insight into the local news industry. My passion for photojournalism stems from my belief in local news and the importance of informing local communities and celebrating the people in those communities.
For my third internship in 2024, I worked with Heath Robbins Photography as a photographer's assistant and production assistant on commercial photography shoots. Working in the commercial industry, I have learned everything from running a business to producing commercial imagery from start to finish for clients such as Staples, BJs, Hood, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
